OUR FOUNDER

Our founder, Shamima Omar, is a passionate and ambitious HR consultant who is highly qualified and specialised in her chosen field. She is proof that strategic guidance, B-BBEE and HR expertise can combine seamlessly to ensure the success of organisations, and her work is sought after by senior executives and top corporates. Her determination to establish BCX B-BBEE Consulting Xperts in 2015 was fuelled by her passion for transformation and change management in the workplace, and dedication to passing on the knowledge and experience that she has gained through her years in the industry.

Shamima’s network of service providers and intimate knowledge of business from a variety of perspectives is an invaluable resource for any organisation, while her down-to-earth nature makes her very approachable and a pleasure to work with. She has gained extensive knowledge in this field through her involvement with the South African National Accredited System (SANAS), which is the body that accredits B-BBEE verification agencies in South Africa. She has established two SANAS accredited B-BBEE verification agencies.

Her academic qualifications include a master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) through UNISA, and an MDP on B-BBEE through Wits University. She has an extensive HR background and is proficient with the various Acts and Codes applicable to the industry. Shamima is a registered trainer on the B-BBEE MDP course that is offered at Wits and UNISA. As a respected technical assessor for SANAS, she is exposed to the best practices in the field of B-BBEE.
